Did you know? QR codes were invented in 1994 by Masahiro Hara at Denso Wave, a Toyota subsidiary, to track automotive parts during manufacturing. The "QR" stands for "Quick Response." They can encode up to 7,089 numeric characters or 4,296 alphanumeric characters and have built-in error correction that can restore up to 30% of damaged data.
